Claira's Experience: The Art of Emphasizing Natural Beauty

In this post, I am going to break down Claira's incredibly kind and thoughtful review with photos so that you can live through a little bit of her experience! She shared about her experience from when we first spoke to the final touch up- so I thought it was fitting that I use her voice to walk you through her story and experience!

The Discovery Call

What Claira said:

From the booking stage through placing my veil on my wedding day, Olivia was the perfect image of professionalism, artistry, and passion for what she does. When booking, she was very responsive and explained her package details thoroughly."

My experience:

Working with Claira was a dream throughout every stage in the process. She was actually one of my first booked brides for 2025 too! I knew from our discovery call that Claira and I would be a great fit. She was looking for a romantic look with whimsical hair pieces adorning her low bun. She envisioned a clean, refined, natural makeup look that would still look amazing in photos. Finally, what made me know it was a perfect fit was that she shared which looks on my page she adored. It was clear that she spent time researching my page and making sure she loved at least 75% of the looks before inquiring with me.

The Bridal Preview Trial

What Claira said:

"Having a trial with her was amazing. We got to know each other and it gave me so much peace of mind to see my wedding look ahead of time. The environment was so relaxing and it was so easy to communicate with her about my vision. She's excellent at making adjustments and hearing you when there's something you don't like or want to change--which I really appreciated as someone who usually has a hard time speaking up!"

My experience:

I always encourage feedback during the preview trial so that we can get your look to be exactly as you envision it! We started off with doing Claira's hair. I created a fun, whimsical low bun updo. We went through a round of feedback with her hair before continuing with makeup. When it came time for her face framing and front pieces, we turned to the mirror and worked together draping her hair until she loved it.

For makeup, Claira requested cool tones, natural lips, individual lashes and simple eyes that made her blue pop. Similar to Claira's hair, we went through another round of feedback. I learned that Claira wanted more lashes on the outer corners to provide that "lifted" effect. We also decided we would use a different powder to make her under eyes more neutral toned instead of warm.

The Wedding Day

What Claira said:

"She became someone I trusted completely. I felt so relaxed when she arrived to my bridal suite on my wedding day because I knew I was in good hands. I felt like myself on my wedding day, but the absolute best version of me. I don't wear a lot of makeup and so l had all the normal hesitations that come with that, but her technique made it so comfortable to wear both physically and mentally. My hair was also very comfortable and it held all day. She managed to create the exact style I wanted despite me struggling a bit to describe my vision. My hair and makeup were absolutely perfect."

My experience:

It is really something so special when the people we work with trust us completely and feel safe communicating their desires so we can get the outcome that they love.
