Wedding Hair and Makeup is About Booking Peace of Mind

The brides who know just know: it's more than booking hair and makeup. Searching for the right hair and makeup artist goes beyond beauty-- it extends into the wedding planning experience. Whether you have a smooth, fun, and enjoyable experience versus a stressful one depends on which vendors you choose to work with leading up to the wedding day.
-Hi there! I'm Olivia and I help brides feel like their best self in the most comfortable way. My hair and makeup style is natural, authentic, and inspired by soft glam. I'm located in Baltimore and Connecticut, and serve the East Coast from Virginia to Massachusetts.
In this blog post, I'll be sharing Morgan's incredibly kind and thoughtful review so that you can live through her experience. Before booking me, Morgan previously had a trial with another artist that didn't align with her vision.
The Experience

"I had the most incredible experience working with Olivia for my bridal hair and makeup for my September 2025 wedding. I found her after I was unhappy with my first trial with a different company and was feeling nervous that I wouldn’t feel like myself on my wedding day."
When brides book with me, it is my hope to make their wedding planning process easier and honestly just fun! From the initial discovery call to the last touch ups on the wedding day, feeling secure and confident is what's most important. This starts with the trust that we build with each other to how you look and feel on your big day.
The Bridal Preview
"From the very beginning, Olivia truly listened to what I wanted and took the time to understand my vision. After our trial, I felt so confident that I could trust her completely on my wedding day and didn’t have to worry about a thing. I felt like the best version of myself, not overdone or unlike me, just glowing and confident."
The bridal preview is our unrushed time together to collaborate and refine your wedding day hair and makeup so that it is exactly as you love! I make sure to block off my entire day so that we can really dive in and explore what it is that makes each of my brides feel prettiest.
At Morgan's preview, we talked about the style she was envisioning and her preferences. I was able to get a better understanding of her personality. For example, I learned that she was a "less is more" kind of gal. She wanted less blush, less eye makeup, warmer tones, and more pinks rather than browns. From our conversation, I knew to start with less makeup because we could always add on more depending on her feedback.

Morgan's Wedding Day
"On the morning of my wedding, I was so grateful for the calming presence and emotional intelligence that she brought to my bridal suite. She even took me aside for a moment of air after finishing the look, as things were getting tense with a family member in the bridal suite, which I really needed and appreciated in the moment!"
Wedding mornings are full of all kinds of emotions. You're excited that the day is finally here and you get to be around all your favorite people. Sometimes, you're seeing all these people for the first time in a long time and your introverted self gets overwhelmed when you look out the window and see everyone.
On Morgan's wedding day, the weather decided to turn a little gray and the outdoor ceremony had to be switched to a tented ceremony. Like many of my brides, Morgan just wanted to enjoy the day and not let a thing ruin her wedding day. However, I could sense that the energy in the room shifted upon this news and it was my instinct to protect the joyful energy that we so carefully created that morning.
We stepped outside to take a breather and get back into the right headspace. And it was so worth it because look at these wedding photos!
The Hair and Makeup
"My hair and makeup lasted perfectly all day and night, and I received so many compliments. I cannot recommend Olivia enough to any bride who wants to feel beautiful, heard, and truly like herself on her wedding day."
Morgan's experience shows just how important it is to do proper research and make sure that you can see your self in your hair and makeup artist's portfolio! It's important to book an artist who makes you feel comfortable, listens to your concerns, and understands what it is that you want to enhance and highlight. I tell brides that if you're on the fence about an artist, if you like or save about 75% or more of their makeup and hair styles as inspiration, then you've found the right artist :)
